I hope everyone is comfortable again. Next time should be about hats. That's what you call character all in one place, outside of your head. The rest is inside. No cliches about books and covers, back to comfort.

Guess who has wandered off again? He can never stay put. I'd be angry if I didn't know any better. He's not the goodbye kind of guy. That's not because he's rude either. Destruction just goes where he will. The responsibility is yours, he says.

I'm here to listen.

That's an interesting way of looking at hats.

Thanks, Leia. Besides that though, they're fun.

Did someone change your wardrobe for you today?

[identity profile] nogoldbikinis.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, actually. Somehow I ended up with clothes at least two sizes too big for me. I can't even imagine how the person wearing my clothes felt.

Would you rather go along in their shoes?

[identity profile] nogoldbikinis.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Considering they don't fit, not really, no.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:46 am (UTC)(link)
Only more poor fitting going around anyway.

[identity profile] nogoldbikinis.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Did you get switched with anyone?

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:59 am (UTC)(link)
Not this time. I'm sure I'll get my chance.

I have never heard that said about hats before.

They're less popular in certain regions. That could be why.

Really clothing has little to do with character. It's all wrapping.

I would hope that taste is only a passing insight, falling short of conversation and time spent in company.

I do not believe we have met. I am Caspian.

How are you, Caspian? Dressed up properly?

audio;

[identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:13 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, well, comfortably. I did not bring more than one set of clothing when I first arrived.

There's only one I can think of person who would be fine with armor all day long for several days.

You presume I go clad in armor and girt with sword and you know my name, but I do not know yours.

Were you a recent victim of fashion?

audio;

[identity profile] treadingdawn.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, though with all due respect it was only the fit that I didn't like.

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing wrong with books and covers.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
Everyone knows the sentiment. Sometimes the pver use of an expression wears out the meaning.

Hi.

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Real books are good though, people should read more.

Hi.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 06:50 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. What are you reading these days? I love recommendations if you have any.

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:01 am (UTC)(link)
Poetry, mostly. Are you familiar with The Hollow Men?

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. That one's my favorite.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:29 am (UTC)(link)
What else is in the favorites?

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
William Shakespeare, Robert Frost, Byron...The Book of Revelation, stuff like that.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Imagery in poems stands out. Are you a visual thinker?

[identity profile] do-you-bleed.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 07:50 am (UTC)(link)
Pretty much. Gets easier to understand when you've lived it.

Eliot was wrong, though. "This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but with a whimper."

Quite the opposite, really.

[identity profile] highcost-living.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say he's wrong. It depends on which world.

[identity profile] jiggity-jig.livejournal.com 2008-09-23 01:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Well isn't that a curious note.
